Project Green Wall

What is Project Green Wall?

  • From home to globe, green is major rather must concern of our era. It is our privileged that our city
  • Rajkot has been selected not only for plastic free city but SMART CITY. Jivankala Foundation’s aim is to make each school green school and finally Green city.
  • To re-use plastic bottles for plastic bottle garden in collaboration with schools - is all about Project Green Wall. It’s not only about making city green, but using waste for the best.
  • Our feel is to make each wall alive. It gives a life to wall with greenery, flowers and plants. It is about creating a pool between student and nature through active participation.
  • It gives personal opportunity to identify various plants, their attributes and characteristics.
  • For schools, it becomes matter of pride and attraction while parents, other schools staff or any government official visits the school campus.
  • Our aim is to connect all the schools and their students with this same cause and GREEN activity.
Why Project Green Wall?

  • Plastic is poison. It is unfortunate that it is not recyclable and we are using more and more plastic bottle in our daily life. Jivankala Foundation comes up with the idea to use this garbage for wonderful purpose.
  • Our city-grown generation is not able to plant the trees as compare to our previous farming generation.
  • Pollution is getting worse and worse day by day. Rajkot touched 45*C since last two summer.
  • In jungle of concrete like cities, people living in flats and apartments used to face difficulty in terms of lack of land. Plastic bottle garden is good option.
  • It is in line with the government proposal to make it Smart School, and we are adding it to make GREEN SCHOOL.
  • If we cultivate habit to nurture the nature from childhood, there is no doubt that it creates lots of impact on making the globe better place to live and love.
Project Green Wall so far...

  • “If I plant it myself, then it becomes my plant.” – we experienced this fact with 3 schools.
  • 3 schools » 1800+ students
  • No work is small and no waste is worthless. This was demonstrated as we visited Garbage Houses and collect bottles. Cleaning, collecting stationeries, cutting bottles etc. all activities were full of fun.
  • As a motivation to school, student and team, we gave
    • Certificate of participation to each student
    • Green wall banner on school wall
    • Framed Memento to each 3 Principal
  • It was properly for the students and by the students. The joy and interest of students was over whelming.
  • It gave immense pleasure and satisfaction to do something meaningful to all of us i.e. instructor, teachers staff, our team and guests.
  • Now many students have started planting daily used vegetables at their home on their own.
