About Jivankala Foundation

Jivan means life and kala means art. Living itself is an art and inevitably we are connected to one  or another art. To promote this art, childhood is the best time and hence JIVANKALA FOUNDATION is dedicated to all kind of activities for kids since 3 generations.
Late Shri Mahipatram Joshi (1915-1998) – Renowned educationalist and writer of multiple child literature
Shri Madhukant Joshi – the only word-picture artist, writer of many well known child literature, Founder of TAMTAM KIDS MAGAZINE (1989).
Mr Jigar Joshi – the winner of The Indian National Theater Mumbai conferred him The shayda award (2015) for his contribution in Gujarati ghazal poetry, ISHQ THI ASHQ (2007), TANE MODE THI SAMJASHE (2010), AN ENDLESS TOPIC…ANE HU’N (2013) His works on Children literature was published BY GUJARAT SAHITY ACADEMY as Takko Che Ke Tablu (2011) and Ukhana Re Ukhana (2015). PARASPAR & MORNING…GOOD MORNING (2014) are compilation by him.  Editor of TAMTAM KIDS MAGAZINE. 

Shbda-Chitra Exhibition (Word-Picture art): Since 1985 more then 70 lakh people already visited

TAMTAM KIDS is the only Magazine in the GUJARATI LANGUAGE distributed for 26 years  for FREE OF COAST and currently 3,000 subscriptions free of coast all over the Gujarat and Mumbai.

In year 2015-16, Jivankala has adopted 60,000 children across Gujarat, Hyderabad and Mumbai and distributed free books to them under “Vanchan Gyan-Yagna Abhiyan

Gammat Gyan Kelavani  Karyakram (Fun and Learn) mostly at Govt. Schools once or twice a week. Total  500+ schools and More then 10,000 total such programs so far.

Pankhi OlakhoPankhi Bachavo (know the bird – save the bird) 59+ schools, 11,000+ students participated in drawing competition and exhibition

Post card drawings, every month in magazine by kids only. Total 3000+ in last 3 years
